Job description
The role
You’ll own Pally’s community in New York. There’s no playbook and no manager looking over your shoulder. You get a budget, a Slack channel with us, and the whole city. Your job is to make New York love Pally.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll plan it, pitch it, run it, and be at the door. In practice that means:
An event every week. Dinners, run clubs, founder breakfasts, quiz nights, whatever gets the right people in a room with Pally on their phones.
One big Pally party every month. Hundreds of people, a venue people talk about, a night people post about.
Sponsors. Pitch venues, brands, and partners to fund and co-host what you run, and own each relationship end to end.
Logistics. Venues, catering, guest lists, door, AV, and budget, handled before anyone notices they needed handling.
Being the face of Pally in New York. Founders, operators, creators, and the people who host the good stuff in the city should know you by name.
Feeding it back. Hear what people love and what annoys them, tell us directly, and we ship the fix.
We’ll measure you on one thing: how many people in New York use Pally every week, and how much they love it.
Profile
We don’t care where you’ve worked. We’re looking for someone who has built a community from nothing and kept it going.
A record of running events people still talk about: a student club, a supper club, a community for your industry, a festival stage, a company’s offsites. The scale matters less than the fact you did it yourself and people came back.
Experience closing sponsors. You can email a brand’s marketing lead on Monday and have a signed sponsorship by Friday.
Comfortable walking into a room where you know nobody and leaving with ten new friends.
Self-sufficient. Nobody will tell you what to do each day. You decide, do it, and report back with numbers.
You use Pally every day and have opinions about it.
You want founding-team scope. You’ll set the bar for how Pally shows up in New York.
