We are seeking a hands-on Floor Plant Manager to support daily manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly operations for a growing producer of prefabricated aluminum shelters, enclosures, and custom structural products. This role is ideal for a strong manufacturing professional who combines hands-on fabrication experience with leadership potential.

The Floor Plant Manager will help oversee production activities, supervise fabrication teams, maintain quality and safety standards, and support operational growth. The successful candidate will work directly on the production floor alongside employees while helping improve efficiency, productivity, and overall plant performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly operations.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and develop production employees.
  • Work hands-on with the fabrication team to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Coordinate production schedules and monitor workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor productivity, materials, and labor utilization.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training as the production team grows.
  • Learn and become proficient in the company's aluminum and glass product lines.
  • Collaborate with management to improve operational performance and manufacturing processes.
  • Help scale plant operations to meet increasing production demands.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or plant operations.
  • Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly experience, preferably with aluminum, glass, metals, or construction-related products.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and workplace safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn products, processes, and operations.
  • Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and safely work around fabrication equipment.
