About the Opportunity
An established healthcare organization specializing in OPWDD services is seeking an experienced executive leader to serve as its Chief of Care Management.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created executive position will oversee the organization’s entire Care Management division, with a strong focus on operational excellence, quality improvement, accountability, and leadership development.
This role was created because the organization has experienced significant growth and needs a dedicated executive to strengthen quality across one of its largest departments. The ideal candidate enjoys improving systems, coaching leaders, and driving operational performance through accountability and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
The Chief of Care Management provides executive oversight of the organization’s Care Management department, ensuring high-quality service delivery while improving operational performance, accountability, and client outcomes.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership to identify operational gaps, improve quality metrics, coach senior leaders, and strengthen performance throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of the Care Management department.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives across care management operations.
- Develop accountability measures and performance improvement plans.
- Coach and mentor senior leaders throughout the department.
- Analyze operational data and identify trends impacting quality.
- Partner with executive leadership to improve client outcomes.
- Strengthen workflows and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Must Have Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years of management experience
- Minimum 10 years of human services experience
- Minimum 5 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Care Management experience
- Executive leadership experience preferred
- Strong operational and quality improvement background
