The salary range for this role is $58,000-$72,000, depending on experience.

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

You will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and other Facilities Corporation staff with the formulation, implementation, and administration of a variety of projects in the areas of project management, construction administration, property management, contracting, purchasing, master contracts, and other areas of support for building operations and administration.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting the management of facilities related projects from inception to completion including, but not limited to:
    • Preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Contract preparation
    • Researching vendors
    • Coordinating project and meeting schedules with staff and contractors
    • Attending on-site project meetings
    • Conducting Construction project inspections and punchlists
    • Updating budgets and processing invoices
    • Maintaining project update notes
    • Data management
    • Maintaining communication with JUF Partners
  • Assisting in the management of the Master Contract and Purchasing Program including, but not limited to:
    • Researching vendors
    • Preparing Request for Proposals
    • Coordinating site visits
    • Preparing comparative analysis of proposals
    • Tracking work performance
    • Checking billing and follow up on any issues
  • Responsible for multitasking, maintaining workload, and completing additional tasks as assigned

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, real estate, architecture, engineering, construction management, or three years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing construction documents such as plans, specifications and contracts.
  • Demonstrated performance and successful coordination of projects.
  • Must be an organized self-starter who can work independently with limited supervision and understand when to request guidance.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Strong multi-tasker with the ability to shift directions as needed within short time frames.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and written and oral communication skills, exercising appropriate judgment and professionalism in communications and all interactions. Able to interact with all levels of stakeholders demonstrating diplomacy clarity and a cooperative spirit.
  • Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially using excel spreadsheets for project budgeting and tracking.
  • Experience using CAD applications is preferrable.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car for site visits is preferred.

Our Hybrid Schedule:

We have a hybrid work policy to allow staff the flexibility to work from home / remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Tuesdays-Thursdays, the standard work location is 30 South Wells Street in Chicago, and staff are expected to work in person. We have a 36.5 hour work week, not a 40 hour work week. Our work hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-4pm Friday with a daily 1 hour lunch break.
