Job description
Vice President of Manufacturing & Production
New York City Metro Area | Full-time onsite
Compensation: $200,000–$300,000
Reports to: EVP of Operations
Why This Role Exists
We need a manufacturing leader who can build for where the operation is going, not just manage where it is today.
This role will lead a large, complex production organization and focus on the next 6–18 months: capacity, labor, automation, cost, productivity, leadership depth, and scalability.
This is a true leader-of-leaders role. Directors and Managers should own daily execution; the VP should be focused on growth, systems, accountability, and future-state performance. That distinction was central to the hiring-manager calibration. Joel Check In – Transcript
What You Will Own
- Build and execute the manufacturing roadmap for growth.
- Translate forecasted demand into capacity, labor, equipment, automation, and organizational plans.
- Lead through senior manufacturing leaders and strengthen accountability at every level.
- Establish and drive KPIs across productivity, throughput, labor efficiency, overtime, quality, cost, and capacity.
- Increase output without allowing headcount, overtime, cost, or complexity to grow unnecessarily.
- Identify bottlenecks early and determine whether the solution is process, people, machinery, automation, or capital.
- Develop and upgrade Directors and Managers so they can run execution independently.
- Own manufacturing budgets, labor economics, operating cost, and capital priorities.
- Lead manufacturing, assembly, custom production, finishing, and R&D. Joel Check In – Transcript

What You Need
- Proven leadership of a large or complex manufacturing operation.
- Experience leading leaders, not just frontline teams.
- Strong analytical and KPI discipline.
- Proven success scaling, transforming, or materially improving manufacturing operations.
- Ability to plan 6–18 months ahead and convert strategy into execution.
