Job description
Our client, a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP), is seeking a strategic Director of Infrastructure & Technology Operations with expertise in enterprise infrastructure, healthcare IT, cybersecurity, and multi-site technology operations.
The ideal candidate must have a strong track record of leading complex IT environments and serving as a trusted technology advisor to senior business leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technology strategy and infrastructure roadmap for a multi-site healthcare organization, aligning IT investments with operational priorities, security requirements, and long-term growth.
- Serve as the senior technology liaison and trusted advisor between client leadership, the MSP, facility stakeholders, and technology vendors, translating business needs into clear technology decisions.
- Lead IT infrastructure and technology operations across networking, cloud services, Microsoft 365, servers, endpoints, telecommunications, identity management, and other critical systems.
- Drive the organization’s cybersecurity and risk management strategy, strengthening security controls, HIPAA compliance, vulnerability management, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, vendors, contracts, and infrastructure investments based on security, scalability, operational impact, and total cost of ownership.
- Lead infrastructure modernization and service improvement initiatives, including cloud migrations, network upgrades, system lifecycle planning, technology standardization, and resolution of high-impact IT issues across multiple facilities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure, technology operations, systems engineering, or related experience, including significant responsibility for complex production environments.
- 5+ years of technology leadership experience, ideally within an MSP, healthcare organization, skilled nursing environment, or other highly regulated multi-site operation.
- Strong hands-on and architectural knowledge of enterprise networking, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID, Windows Server, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, backup, disaster recovery, and identity and access management.
- Demonstrated experience developing IT infrastructure strategy, technology roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and infrastructure modernization programs.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, security controls, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Experience managing MSP relationships, technology vendors, licensing, contracts, procurement, SLAs, and technology budgets.
