Job description
About the role
As Business Development Manager at Forus, you will build the operating system that creates qualified provider opportunities and drives repeatable growth. You will own team performance, prospecting strategy, and coaching, turning inbound interest and outbound outreach into qualified meetings for our Growth team.
You will lead a team of 5-10 Business Development Representatives and define how the team prioritizes accounts, runs outreach, qualifies opportunities, and turns field learnings into stronger prospecting playbooks. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will coach through live scenarios, develop BDRs on your team, define prospecting strategy, and partner with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Growth to make the team more effective as it scales.
This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Forus’ success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.
If you join, you will:
Build and develop a team of high-performing Business Development Representatives responsible for expanding Forus’ provider network, defining the operating rhythm, setting clear expectations, and holding the team accountable for results.
Own and refine the BDR motion across segmentation, account prioritization, outreach, qualification, meeting conversion, handoffs, and team effectiveness.
Own the team’s qualified meeting and opportunity targets, use funnel data to diagnose performance gaps, and drive the changes needed to improve results.
Ramp new BDRs and improve performance across the team through live prospecting, call reviews, giving direct feedback, and coaching reps on qualification, objection handling, and maximizing conversion.
Recruit, interview, and hire exceptional BDR talent as the team scales.
Use CRM and prospecting data to improve account prioritization, territory coverage, lead routing, and ultimately increase team productivity.
We’ll be most excited if you have:
2+ years of experience leading and coaching a team of BDRs or SDRs, with a track record of building repeatable outbound motions and delivering against team targets.
A track record of developing reps, ramping new hires quickly, and addressing underperformance through direct feedback and effective coaching.
Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to diagnose where prospecting and conversion break down and translate those insights into better team performance.
Experience bringing structure to a fast-moving environment by building and improving prospecting playbooks, onboarding programs, and inbound and outbound workflows, using CRM, AI, and automation tools to improve team productivity.
Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
