Job Description
Orchard, a leading medical communications agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Copywriter to join our dynamic team, supporting our US pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing compelling and accurate medical content for a diverse range of clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Translate complex medical/scientific concepts into clear, concise copy
Create branded HCP campaign materials including websites, detail aids, leave behinds, emails
Create HCP medical education campaign materials including slide decks, invites, workbooks, and other collateral
Lead brands from both strategy and copy perspectives with minimal oversight
Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof; ensure accuracy and quality
Partner with design, strategy, account, and project management teams
Ensure all content is on-brand and compliant with US regulatory and industry standards
Drive copy and strategic perspectives in client meetings
Manage competing priorities
Play a key role in researching and developing content for proposals and pitch presentations
Stay up to date on current trends in medical education and the US pharma industry

Note on working arrangements

Role is expected to be remote, however some travel to New Jersey, USA, may be required.
Availability to work 9am-5pm within US East Coast timezone is essential
Candidates must have indepth knowledge of US regulations, including FDA promotional regulations and the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Health Care Professionals

Qualifications
About you

Graduate degree or PhD in sciences discipline
5 years + medical writing experience
HCP pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
Expertise in claim development and substantiation
Comfort working across multiple therapeutic areas and lifecycle stages (pre‑launch to brand maintenance)
Have strong presentation and pitching experience
Clear understanding of FDA promotional regulations and the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Health Care Professionals
Highly proficient with Veeva/PromoMats
Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and version control
Strong time management in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
