Overview
We are seeking a Specialist, Ecommerce focused on content strategy who combines strategic copywriting with deep e-commerce content expertise. This person will audit the category and competitors, develop strategy, and partner to guide and deliver best-in-class product detail page content across leading marketplaces. The role partners closely with account management, creative, production, and client teams to translate brand and retailer objectives into compelling, accurate, and scalable ecommerce shopper experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

Digital Shelf Strategy and Optimization

Audit client brands and competitors across the digital shelf, then provide analysis and prioritized content-update recommendations.

Advise clients on best-in-class digital content strategy and optimized product-page content for Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Kroger.com, Target.com, and other leading retailers and marketplaces.

Serve as a subject matter expert on e-commerce content, retailer requirements, product-page trends.

Manage content health reporting and content analysis within relevant platforms and workbenches.

Identify and track emerging product-page content formats and requirements, including A+ Content, Enhanced Brand Content, and Brand Stores.

PDP Content Strategy and Copy Development

Complete audits and assessments of retailer, category, brand and competitive content based on indicators of digital and agentic visibility and conversion.

Create and refine image-carousel messaging, below-the-fold content, enhanced content, and Brand Store content.

Translate product information, features, benefits, claims, and brand positioning into clear, shopper needs into focused content briefs that support product discovery and consideration.

Develop content hierarchies and messaging frameworks that create a consistent product story across PDP elements, product variations, and retailer environments.

Collaborate with account and creative teams on concepts and executions from initial ideation through production and deployment.

Edit, proofread, and quality-check content for accuracy, grammar, clarity, brand voice, and retailer compliance.

Content Production, Deployment, and Workflow

Partner with internal creative teams to ensure content strategies meet project briefs and retailer requirements.

Seek opportunities to apply efficient methodologies that improve speed to market while maintaining market-leading quality.

Collaboration and Agency Contribution

Work cross-functionally to build end-to-end understanding of e-commerce processes, strategy, and the role of content.

Demonstrate a collaborative, resourceful, and accountable approach, stepping in for the good of the team and agency.

Perform other duties as assigned by creative or e-commerce leadership.

Skillsets Required

Bachelor's degree in English, communications, advertising, marketing, business, or a related field.

1- 2+ years of relevant e-commerce experience at a retailer, CPG company, marketing agency, or advertising agency.

Good understanding of e-commerce data and analytics, content health reporting, and digital shelf performance.

Superior verbal, written, presentation, listening, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple products, retailers, workstreams, and deadlines.

Self-starter with accountability, creativity, resourcefulness, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to improve and grow.

Dynamic communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence varied audiences.

Knowledge of current e-commerce trends, consumer packaged goods, and business philosophies around commerce.

Product detail pages communicate a clear, accurate, compelling, and differentiated product story.

Content strategies balance brand consistency, shopper needs, retailer requirements, and platform-specific best practices.

PDP copy and assets move efficiently from strategy through creative development, production, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

Clients and internal teams receive actionable digital shelf analysis, practical recommendations, and clear education on emerging requirements.

Content workflows support on-time launches, competitive quality, and continuous improvement.
