Job description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee SONYC Gloria’s House yearly and weekly afterschool calendars
Coordinate SONYC Schedule with all relevant stake holders
Act as the primary point person for SONYC facilitators, communicate schedule changes with facilitators, schedule make-up programming as needed.
Meet with partner agencies/stakeholders, send out revised schedule every Friday to all relevant stakeholders
Ensure all facilitators have material and supply clearance in advance of sessions
Ensure youth arrive on time for program and troubleshoot scheduling issues as they arise
Build relationships with partner agencies, especially those present for Afterschool hours, get buy-in for programming
Create flyers for program
Collect attendance and upload data on to DYCD Connect on a daily basis
Update enrollment sheet on daily basis (with attendance)
Maintain DYCD binder and ensure up to date (attendance, enrollment sheet, SCR/SCL clearances, weekly schedule)
Develop annual workscope in DYCD online
Perform monthly program observations and provide feedback to facilitators
Plan and coordinate monthly family nights
Complete Weekly Report by 1pm every Friday, and share with partner agencies and DYCD stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in education, youth development, social work or other related field degree preferred
At least 2 years’ experience coordinating afterschool programs
Experience working with justice-involved youth and/or within detention facilities highly desirable
Strong interest in juvenile justice issues and positive youth development best practices
Excellent networking, writing and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
