Job description

The York Jewish Community Center is seeking a visionary, mission-driven, and business-focused Chief Executive Officer to lead one of York County's most respected community institutions into its next chapter. With more than a century of history and a diverse membership base, the York JCC is coming through a period of leadership turnover and operational challenges, and its next leader will be energized not just to stabilize the organization but to help it grow and thrive. The CEO does not need to be Jewish but will embrace the JCC's commitment to Jewish values, inclusivity, and community connection. Responsibilities: • Strengthen organizational culture, build trust, and foster alignment across the leadership team and staff • Assess operations and staffing to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and service delivery • Improve profitability and cash flow across all departments and build balance sheet liquidity • Oversee membership services, programming, early childhood education, facilities, and human resources • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and donor engagement strategy • Partner with the Board to refine strategic priorities, set measurable goals, and strengthen governance • Evaluate facility and capital needs and recommend long-term investment and campus planning • Serve as a visible external ambassador with donors, community leaders, foundations, and partners Qualifications: • Accomplished executive with a record of leading organizational transformation and building high-performing teams • Strong business and financial acumen, including earned revenue models, growth strategy, and sound decision-making with constrained resources • Demonstrated executive-level fundraising experience • Experience with strategic planning, board partnership, and change management; facilities and capital project experience a plus • High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a passion for community service and Jewish values Salary: $175,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience.
