Maintenance Associate at Scheck Hillel Community School

Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach, Florida is hiring a full-time Maintenance Associate to ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of its campus. The Maintenance Associate performs maintenance tasks, assists with repairs, and helps keep the school environment safe and conducive to learning for more than 1,300 students. Responsibilities: • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds and perform basic repairs and maintenance • Keep school facilities and common areas organized • Set up and take down equipment for school events and activities • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from faculty and staff • Follow safety regulations and school policies, and work with outside contractors on larger repairs • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders • Assist with seasonal tasks such as flood prevention and hurricane preparedness Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Previous maintenance experience and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems a plus • Spanish a plus • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding, and work indoors and outdoors for extended periods Compensation: A comprehensive package including competitive salary, benefits, professional development, and opportunity for growth.
