High School Computer Science Teacher at Scheck Hillel Community School

Scheck Hillel Community School, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon college-preparatory Jewish community school serving over 1,300 students from PK through 12th grade in North Miami Beach, Florida, is hiring a High School Computer Science Teacher. The teacher plans, organizes, and delivers computer science instruction in the High School and guides students to reach their academic and social-emotional potential. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, a strong background in education, and a genuine love of teaching. Responsibilities: • Create a positive, inclusive, student-centered classroom that encourages engagement • Plan and deliver lessons and materials that meet the needs of all learners, with clear learning targets and success criteria • Use technology to support and differentiate instruction, and develop formative and summative assessments • Monitor student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and manage classroom behavior • Communicate regularly with parents on academic and behavioral progress • Supervise lunch, recess, school functions, and trips; attend conferences, back-to-school nights, and faculty meetings • Hold office hours and document lessons, assessments, and grades in Atlas and the school LMS Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; master's degree preferred • At least 3 years of teaching experience in a high school setting • Valid teaching certification preferred • Strong knowledge of pedagogical practices and learning theories • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compensation: A comprehensive package including competitive salary, benefits, professional development, and opportunity for growth.
