Job description
Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ seeks a full-time Director of K-12 School Partnerships and Combatting Antisemitism to serve as Federation's primary liaison to public and private secular schools across its five counties (Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset). The Director builds trusted relationships with educators, heads of school, superintendents, and Boards of Education, advances antisemitism and Holocaust education, supports Jewish students and families, and helps foster school environments where every student feels safe, respected, and included. The role is part of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and reports to the JCRC Director. **Schedule:** Hybrid, in office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Responsibilities: • Establish the role as Federation's primary point of contact with all K-12 secular schools • Work with administrators and educators to promote Jewish education, history, and identity, and set clear lesson plans and guidelines for combatting antisemitism • Build relationships between superintendents, heads of school, teachers, curriculum creators, and guidance counselors and the Jewish community • Provide professional development for educators on recognizing and responding to antisemitism and bias incidents • Serve as a resource for families and educators facing antisemitic incidents • Oversee a lay committee of parents, coordinate educator study tours to Israel, and place students in the Student to Student Program • Represent Federation at the annual NJEA conference and in the wider community Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in or working with secular schools • Strong knowledge of Jewish history, particularly antisemitism • Strong relationship-building and communication skills • Strategic thinker with an execution focus, able to manage multiple situations at once Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 plus benefits.
