Job description
Key Relationships: Operations Analysts, Birth-to-Five Programs, DECE Central Office, DECE Borough Office Teams (Leadership Coaching & Professional Learning), Division of Contracts and Purchasing.
Responsibilities
Monitors team inbox and responds to record and concerns received from partner agencies, NYCPS staff, and the public in the Incident Database.
Identifies the individual needs of each Birth-to-Five Program and ensures that they are matched with other teams for support when necessary (Office of Student Enrollment, Office of Special Education, agencies involved with permitting).
Supports program accountability through the resolution of incidents.
Communicates directly with sites about their readiness status; helps troubleshoot problems with sites and escalates when necessary.
Conducts and supports training for DECE staff of varying seniority on various program quality indicators as well as critical items such as the teacher hiring process, staff clearances, etc. with guidance from the Intake Manager.
Follows up with DECE Staff and Birth-to-Five Programs on required documentation and deadlines.
Responsible for data maintenance and reporting; issues daily reports which will be utilized for metrics and data tracking, with guidance from the Intake Manager.
Provides administrative support, with guidance from Senior Director of Quality Management Systems and Intake Manager, including scheduling and meeting facilitation.
Develops familiarity with the DECE Policy Handbooks and Article 43/47 of the New York City Health Code.
Liaises with families, staff, and investigative agencies with guidance from the Intake Manager.
Participates in weekly individual and team check-ins.
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
High school graduation or equivalent and six (6) years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least one (1) year of experience as described in “1” above.
