Job description

What You'll Do

● Work with Bowdark architects, developers, and customers to define and formalize integration requirements.

● Document integration flows using architectural flow diagrams.

● Develop integration flows that orchestrate interface logic.

● Build custom mapping logic to translate data between schema types, including JSON-to-JSON, JSON-to-XML, XML-to-JSON, and XML-to-XML.

● Build fault-tolerant integration logic using services such as Azure Service Bus to queue and manage messages.

● Work with client TechOps teams and product owners to configure system connections, service principals, and related access.

● Work with client cybersecurity teams to secure interface endpoints using services such as Azure API Management and Azure Application Gateway.

● Partner with Bowdark's DevOps team to develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines that promote interfaces across client environments.

● Implement API health monitoring using tools such as Azure Monitor.

● Support Bowdark's agent development projects by building custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and tools alongside traditional integration work.

What You'll Bring

● 0-4 years of experience developing software or integration solutions — open to strong college hires as well as early-career candidates.

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated proficiency through coursework, internships, or personal projects).

● Strong programming proficiency in C#/.NET.

● Foundational understanding of web/API concepts, including REST and JSON.

● Eagerness to grow into Bowdark's broader integration stack, including OAuth 2.0, XML, database integration, and Microsoft Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus).

Nice to Have

● Experience with Python and/or Node.js.

● Coursework, certifications, or hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure and Azure Integration Services.

● Familiarity with OData, GraphQL, OAuth 2.0, XML, or database integration.

● Exposure to Azure DevOps or other DevOps tooling.

● Experience integrating with common customer business systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, and Dynamics 365.

● Exposure to AI agent development, including building custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and tools.

What Success Looks Like

● Ramps up on Microsoft Azure Integration Services and Bowdark's integration delivery patterns within the first few months.

● Contributes reliably to interface development, schema mapping, and integration logic under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.

● Builds working familiarity with client environments and integration requirements gathering.

● Demonstrates growing technical judgment — asking good questions, proposing ideas, and taking increasing ownership of assigned work.

● Is on a clear trajectory toward more independent ownership of integration solutions over time.
