Security Officer Enhanced – Shipping Company

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communications equipment; report irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access issues, delivery-related concerns, and emergency situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
