Job description
Responsibilities
Provide telemedicine coverage to support clinic overflow, provider call-outs, and other staffing needs across the state.
Conduct remote evaluation, assessment, and triage of patient injuries or medical conditions, including work-related injuries, as clinically appropriate.
Provide clinical guidance intended to stabilize patients, determine acuity, and recommend the appropriate level of care, including referral for in-person evaluation, urgent care, or emergency services when indicated.
Formulate treatment recommendations, follow-up guidance, and, where applicable, return-to-work or activity restrictions consistent with occupational medicine and telemedicine standards.
Perform all services in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards governing practice and the delivery of telemedicine services.
Collaborate with medical leadership for purposes of clinical consultation, quality assurance, peer review, and regulatory compliance, as required by applicable supervisory or collaborative practice laws.
Timely and accurately document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record system, as required for clinical, billing, and compliance purposes.
Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and authorizations necessary to provide telemedicine services in state in which services are rendered.
Perform all services in a professional manner and in accordance with applicable standards of care.
Requirements
Education/Credentials
Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program and an unrestricted California PA/NP license (or license in progress)
Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice
Current BLS, AED and ACLS certification required
