Description
About Wildflower Health

At Wildflower, we are dedicated to the mission of the best care, for all women, every time. We deliver a platform for hybrid care models that fill gaps in care for women, while creating tangible value for both health plans and OB/GYN providers. Health plans representing 58M covered lives leverage our solution to extend existing provider networks and deliver wraparound care models that meaningfully improve access to care, quality, health outcomes, and healthcare affordability. We are a mission-driven, PE-backed growth company looking for builders who want to make a transformative impact on women’s health.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Payer Sales Executive to fuel Wildflower’s growth in the health plan market. In this role, you will lead new sales with Medicaid and Commercial health plans, helping each plan adopt the right mix of Wildflower’s maternity and women’s health programs — population-wide engagement and navigation, life-event advocacy (benefits, SDOH, and care navigation), clinical condition management, quality and HEDIS gap closure, and OB provider network enablement — configured and priced to that plan’s population, state policy environment, and existing vendor relationships. A core part of the role is building the return-on-investment case a health plan’s own finance and actuarial leadership can defend internally, grounded in cost avoidance and the quality/HEDIS revenue the plan actually earns.

You are the ideal candidate if you have at least 5 years selling complex, configurable solutions into the health plan market, with hands-on experience structuring contracts tuned to the plan’s needs, using the appropriate mix of fee-for-service, performance-based fees, and value-based economics for the solution. You are comfortable listening and learning to understand a health plan’s needs by market segment, and translating that understanding into the right program design, pricing structure, and risk design for that specific buyer.

This is a full-time benefitted exempt position. Up to 30% travel may be required to attend in-person meetings, conferences, and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

· Full-Cycle Sales: Own the sales process from prospecting to close. You will identify high-potential regional health plans and cultivate relationships with national health plans, building a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

· Market Mapping: Systematically map out health plan targets based on state policy environment (e.g., Medicaid maternal health programs or quality-withhold mandates), provider network overlap, and regional market dynamics, to identify highest-probability targets and the right decision-makers within each health plan.

· Consultative Selling (Impact on Access, Quality, Outcomes and Cost): Understand the health plan’s unique needs and articulate the "Why" behind the Wildflower partnership. You will educate and align stakeholders across clinical, quality, product, network, and finance/actuarial teams, and build the return-on-investment case — grounded in cost avoidance and the quality/HEDIS revenue a plan actually earns — that its finance leadership can rebuild and defend internally.

· Proposal Development, Negotiations and Contracting: Develop proposals for prospects, working with cross-functional teams as appropriate. Negotiate final economics and contract terms, with assistance and support from internal financial and legal teams.

· Feedback Loop: Act as the "voice of the market" back to our internal teams across clinical, product and actuary / finance. You will share insights on health plan objections, solution requests, and competitive intelligence to help shape our solution strategy, go-to-market, and roadmap.

· Agility: You are comfortable working as a self-starter to create sales decks, ROI analyses for selling, refining the pitch, and optimizing our CRM (HubSpot) workflows.
