Unlicensed Veterinary Technician Assistant

What You’ll Do
As an Experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on support throughout the hospital while working alongside our doctors and LVTs.

Depending on your experience and applicable scope of practice, responsibilities may include:

Supporting doctors and LVTs during appointments and examinations
Assisting with treatments and patient nursing care
Venipuncture and blood sample collection
IV catheter placement
Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
Assisting with surgical and anesthesia-related patient care
Supporting patients throughout recovery
Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
Assisting with diagnostic imaging
Maintaining clean, organized, and well-prepared treatment and patient-care areas
Communicating with pet parents and fellow team members
Maintaining accurate medical records
Working collaboratively with the team to keep patient care moving efficiently throughout the day
Experience with dentistry is a plus, but it is not required.

What We’re Looking For
Previous veterinary hospital or general practice experience
Strong hands-on technical and patient-care skills
Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and treatments
Experience supporting surgical and anesthesia cases
Comfort working in a busy clinical environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A dependable, proactive approach to supporting the hospital
Compassionate and thoughtful animal handling
Someone who can confidently jump in, recognize where help is needed, and work as part of the larger team
