Campus Recreation and Intramurals Soccer Referee

Campus Recreation and Intramurals is seeking responsible, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable students to serve as Indoor Soccer Officials for our intramural sports program. Officials are responsible for facilitating games, enforcing league rules, promoting good sportsmanship, and helping create a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Position Duties

Officiate indoor soccer games and enforce established league rules.
Maintain control of games and make fair, consistent calls.
Promote good sportsmanship and a positive environment.
Address rule violations, player conflicts, and other issues appropriately.
Arrive on time and be prepared for all assigned games.
Communicate effectively with players and Campus Recreation staff.
Assist with game setup and breakdown as needed.
Report any injuries, incidents, or significant issues to Campus Recreation staff.
Maintain professionalism while representing Campus Recreation.

Requirements
Knowledge of indoor soccer rules and gameplay.
Previous officiating or playing experience preferred but not required.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to make quick, fair decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
Must be comfortable working with students of varying skill levels.
Must be available for scheduled evening games.

Summary
Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.
