The RN must possess the following:

Passion to care for the children with healthcare/special needs & assist their families to care for them
Strong desire to be on a mentorship program or be a mentor to novice team members
Plan to grow professionally or specialize in pediatric healthcare nursing
Compassionate, collaborative, engaged, and knows patient experience/customer service
Desire to be successful in the "only" Pediatric Nursing Residency Program in SNF for new graduates

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a must or current enrollment in the BSN program & soon to finish
Current/active New York state board licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Three years experience as a pediatric nurse for per diem & part-time applicants
Minimum of one year experience in Acute & Pediatric nursing required
BLS and PALS certificate a must.
Computer literate, knowledge of pediatric nursing/healthcare, ability to stand for a long time, push/pull/lift heavy objects
