Job description

What We Stand For and Where You’ll Come In
As the Senior Operations Strategy and Project Manager, you'll own the highest-priority initiatives on the Ops roadmap and drive them to completion. This is a role for someone who can do both halves of the job well: run complex, cross-functional projects with real discipline, and bring the analytical rigor to decide which projects deserve investment in the first place.

You'll partner across Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, Technical Operations, Commercialization, Nutrition, Innovation, Marketing, and FP&A to define scope, pressure-test feasibility, and hold timelines — including leading new product launches through Ops. You'll take the foundational understanding we have today to the next level — surfacing better ways to manage projects and make data-driven decisions that improve operational efficiency and margin. This position suits a highly analytical, organized, action-oriented leader who is comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Operations Network Strategy.

One Team: We don’t think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”. Beyond denoting skill sets and areas of expertise, we don’t think departments matter. We’d rather align ourselves to the goals we’re working to achieve and make sure we have necessary subject matter expertise to drive meaningful impact. We strive to orient ourselves around customer problems TOGETHER – getting the right people, with the right context, in the right rooms/Zooms to solve problems holistically.

We are skeptical about everything and precious about nothing: Ideas can and should come from anywhere, and we aren’t tied to our own. We proactively source input. We talk to our customers and leads regularly and are quick to change course if we know there’s a better or more impactful way to solve problems.

We consider the customer journey in all of our decisions: We know that no interaction exists in a silo and therefore understand how important every single one is. We ensure our strategy sets prospective and new customers up for success and drives long-term retention. We answer questions and address problems early and proactively. We understand the value of different channels, initiatives, and messages and know how to articulate impact and advocate for prioritization holistically.

We Execute For Impact: We don’t subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We’re uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be. Similarly, we don’t subscribe to rigid or classical expectations of roles – i.e. acquisition is hyper-focused on improving customer retention and experience.

We Are Focused and Work Without Assumption: We are not beholden to ideas. We have goals and believe everything beyond that is a series of hypotheses to validate. To that end, we seek to work in sequence and not in parallel. We constantly ask ourselves, “what’s the most important hypothesis I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that hypothesis as fast as possible?”. We rarely have timelines/deadlines and are constantly taking in new information and adjusting our priorities accordingly. We don’t expect to be perfect the first time.

How You'll Make An Impact
Own complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end across the network — including new product introductions, ingredient changes, cost and capacity optimization, and process improvement initiatives — driving them from concept to completion.
Lead new product initiatives through Ops. Partner with Commercialization, R&D, and Technical Ops to bring approved products to market across every channel we serve, owning operational readiness end to end: capacity and sourcing requirements, trial planning, production scale-up, launch execution, and post-launch management. Commercialization owns product development and the business case; you own whether Ops can deliver it, on time, at target cost, and at quality.
Assess and mitigate risk before it lands. Identify operational risks across the project portfolio — capacity shortfalls, single points of failure, supplier and quality exposure. Build the contingency plans that keep commitments intact when conditions change.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
Take a leading role in project prioritization relative to strategic company initiatives, building the business cases and feasibility inputs that determine what the network invests in.
Drive cross-functional alignment and influence outcomes. Lead optimization efforts in partnership with Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, Technical Operations, Commercialization, Nutrition, Innovation, Growth, and FP&A — documenting, communicating, and presenting supply chain scope, capabilities, and goals, and ensuring project scope, goals, and timelines are clearly defined, agreed to, and met.
Improve gross margin. Bring a deep understanding of Operational P&Ls and partner with FP&A to identify and act on margin opportunities through strategic procurement and network initiatives.
Analyze operational performance data — capacity, productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost — interpreting trends, patterns, and outliers to surface insights and opportunities for improvement.
Create and deliver executive-level presentations, clearly communicating project progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
Streamline processes and drive business simplification. Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, then partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement improvements using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
Build the tools and governance that keep projects on track — stage gates, status reporting, and post-launch reviews that measure whether we delivered what we committed to.

We're Excited About You Because
You have a BS degree in Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in supply chain, project management, program management, or related roles, with a focus on direct-to-consumer operations.
You have in-depth knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and tools, and proven experience in continuous improvement project management.
You have excellent analytics and presentation skills and a proven track record of translating data-driven insight into action and consumer-facing impact.
You are proficient in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, etc.
You have clear, confident, and persuasive verbal and written communication skills when working with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders.
You're an owner with excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables across various timelines.
You take a proactive approach to overcoming operational challenges.
You are adaptable and resilient, able to operate autonomously in a dynamic and rapidly evolving business environment.
You love dogs.
