Requirements
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university – HIGHLY PREFERRED
Two (2) years’ experience in acute care – HIGHLY PREFERRED
Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Ability to assess and reassess patients admitted to the unit.
Ability to perform assigned point of care testing (ex. Glucometer, Rapid Covid Testing)
Computer application skills – ALLSCRIPTS and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Nursing and leadership skills.
Job Description
The Senior Staff Nurse in Radiology Nursing is responsible for directing patient care for designated shifts. Reports to the Nurse Manager and works with related departments on ensuring that patient care issues are addressed during the designated shift.

Provides professional nursing care to people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s standard of care, and the institution’s mission and goals.
