About the role

ADL Ventures is seeking an experienced Industrialized Construction (IC) Project Engineer who can contribute immediately to our federal programs and other IC projects. Working closely with our buildings team and project leads, you will translate technical scopes into executable workplans, connect work across disciplines, and keep deliverables moving from planning through completion.

The initial focus is ecosystem development, workstream integration, and project controls across federal facilities programs. This role suits someone with strong technical judgment who can take ownership with limited ramp-up, manage multiple priorities, and bring structure to work that is still being defined.

Key responsibilities

Workstream integration: Align Performance Work Statements (PWS), project scopes, subcontractor scopes, deliverables, and workplans. Identify gaps, overlaps, and dependencies, and coordinate their resolution with project leads and technical specialists.
Project controls: Maintain integrated schedules, milestones, resource and effort forecasts, and deliverable trackers. Monitor progress against plans, flag capacity constraints and schedule risks, and follow through on corrective actions.
Project systems and coordination: Configure and maintain monday.com boards, workflows, and reporting. Help team members use these systems consistently; coordinate meetings, document decisions, and track action items through completion.
Ecosystem development: Identify and engage manufacturers, suppliers, designers, contractors, technology providers, and other IC stakeholders. Support market and capability assessments, partner coordination, and opportunities to expand IC adoption.
Technical integration: Coordinate inputs across product development, BIM and digital frameworks, design standards, codes, policy, and construction delivery. Help translate technical findings into practical program guidance and consistent project outputs.
Client deliverables: Develop clear scopes, workplans, technical summaries, progress reports, and presentation materials. Coordinate reviews so deliverables meet agreed requirements and deadlines.
Broader IC projects: Support due diligence, proposal and RFP development, site evaluations, and project scoping for additional federal, defense, and commercial opportunities. Contribute to new IC business concepts where relevant to project needs.

Required qualifications

8–10 years of relevant industry experience in architecture, engineering, construction, construction technology, or related project delivery.
A technical degree in an architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) discipline, such as architectural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, architecture, or construction management.
Practical experience with industrialized construction, prefabrication, modular construction, off-site manufacturing, or closely related building product and systems integration work.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear scopes, coordinated workplans, and completed deliverables across multiple workstreams.
Experience in one or more of the following: entrepreneurship or venture building; military service or military project delivery; federal programs or federal contracting environments.
Strong project coordination and controls skills, including schedule management, resource planning, risk tracking, and concise written reporting.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and communicate effectively with technical specialists, clients, and industry partners.
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, with the ability to establish and maintain effective monday.com workflows.
Preferred qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Experience with federal facilities and construction programs, including projects in defense environments.
Experience with BIM frameworks, digital construction systems, product development, or integration of design and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with building codes, design standards, policy development, or requirements affecting IC adoption.
Experience supporting technical due diligence, procurement scopes, proposals, and client presentations; comfort participating in project site visits.
Experience building a business, developing a new product, or assessing opportunities in housing, construction, or related infrastructure markets.
