About the Position: 

The Senior Director, Community Partnership Engagement will lead Federation’s efforts to build a more connected, collaborative, and effective Jewish Broward by overseeing the Stronger Together Partnership Architecture emerging from Ignite Broward. This role will build the relationships and networks that connect organizations across the community, while strengthening their capacity through professional development and networking, shared resources, and opportunities to learn from one another. Through synagogue relations, professional and lay leadership networks, and collective initiatives, the Senior Director will turn shared priorities into stronger organizations, collaborative relationships, deeper partnerships, and a more robust communal infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Synagogue Relations 

• Serve as Federation's primary relationship manager with Broward synagogues.  

• Strengthen partnerships between Federation and congregational leadership and help connect them to Federation resources, campaigns, and community priorities.  

• Develop opportunities for collaborative programming and community-wide initiatives.  

Shared Partnership Tables  

• Oversee Federation’s existing Shared Partnership Tables (Board of Rabbis, Congregational Education Directors, Jewish Early Childhood Professionals, and Youth Group Professionals) including convening members, building relationships, coordinating meetings and professional learning, identifying shared needs and opportunities, and advancing collaborative initiatives. 

• Build new communities of practice, including the Executive Directors Roundtable, Synagogue Lay Leadership Network, and other groups identified as community needs emerge.  

• Launch the Stronger Together Awards to recognize and celebrate outstanding collaboration across Jewish Broward. 

• Manage the Collaborative Micro-Grant pilot.  

• Develop and lead a professional leadership development program for a select cohort of professionals from Jewish organizations across Broward. 

Leadership Connect  

• Provide strategic oversight for Leadership Connect, Jewish Broward’s central networking and learning forum for lay and professional leaders. 

• Partner with the Director of Engagement, who will be directly responsible for program planning, participant communications, event logistics, and execution by:  

• Establishing the program’s goals, annual priorities, target audiences, and measures of success. 

• Shaping the content and learning agenda, identifying speakers and facilitators, and ensuring each gathering responds to the needs of community leaders. 

• Developing the recruitment strategy and engaging Federation leadership, partner organizations, and community leaders in building strong participation. 

• Evaluating participation and feedback, using what is learned to strengthen future gatherings and creating additional opportunities for leaders to connect and collaborate. 

Community Collaboration 

• Identify opportunities for community partners to address shared needs through coordinated action. 

• Convene partners around specific opportunities, clarify shared goals, and define roles, responsibilities, timelines, and measures of success. 

• Coordinate shared activities such as community events, professional networks, training opportunities, pilot programs, and cross-organizational services. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.  

• Seven to ten years of leadership experience in the Jewish communal, non profit, synagogue, or related sector.  

• Deep understanding of Jewish communal organizations and synagogue life.  

• Exceptional relationship-building and facilitation skills.  

• Experience leading complex stakeholder environments, navigating competing priorities, and advancing community-wide initiatives through influence and relationship building. 

• Strong project management, communication, and organizational abilities.  

• Ability to inspire trust, build consensus, and move collaborative work from ideas to implementation.
