Associate Motion Graphics Designer

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

Collaborate with the Director of Creative Video and Executive Producers to conceptualize, design, and animate motion graphics for YouTube series, social content, sizzle reels, presentations, and other creative projects.
Design engaging thumbnails and supporting visual assets for recurring video content across multiple Hearst Magazines brands.
Retouch photography and create polished visual assets while maintaining each brand's creative standards and identity.
Extend backgrounds, sets, and other visual elements to enhance social-first video content.
Develop presentation decks, infographics, and other design materials that support internal and external storytelling.
Support senior designers and animators by creating motion graphics templates (MOGRTs), animations, and production-ready design assets.
Manage multiple creative assignments simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Grow into ownership of graphic packages and animation projects as expertise and familiarity with Hearst brands develop.

Qualification (What We're Looking For)

1+ years of experience in motion graphics design, animation, or a related creative discipline, or equivalent experience.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable video editing software.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging motion graphics with a strong eye for layout, typography, color, and visual storytelling.
Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven creative environment.
Passion for design, animation, and visual storytelling with a portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant work.
Bachelor's degree in motion design, animation, graphic design, or a related field preferred.
