The Equity Advantage Team at Lazard Asset Management applies advanced statistical and computational techniques to address real-world investment challenges. We combine cutting-edge quantitative methods with deep market insights to drive better investment outcomes for our clients.

Our hands on, 10-week internship is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in portfolio management. You will work directly with the investment professionals on real investment problems where your contributions have measurable impact from day one. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor invested in your growth, while gaining direct access to industry veterans and thought leaders who bring decades of market experience to share. Eligibility Criteria

This program is open to rising undergraduate juniors only. You must be graduating in 2029!
Ability to start an internship June 7, 2027, and end August 13, 2027
Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

We’ll trust you to:

Assist in monitoring portfolio holdings, exposures, and risk metrics (e.g., sector/geographic weightings, tracking error, beta) relative to benchmarks and mandates.
Assist with data gathering, cleaning, and analysis using tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or internal portfolio management systems.
Help prepare portfolio performance attribution and commentary, and contribute to investment committee materials, client presentations, and quarterly/annual reports.
Present findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings, market discussions, and training sessions to build knowledge of investment philosophy and process and take on ad hoc research or special projects as assigned.

You'll need to have:

Highly motivated student with consistent academic achievement and strong quantitative or analytical skills.
Demonstrated passion for and understanding of financial markets.
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel experience, and experience building data-driven presentations for internal and external audiences.
Excellent written and interpersonal skills (responsive, inquisitive) as well as decision-making and analytical abilities.
A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and intellectual curiosity.
Data analysis skills, such as Python, VBA, SQL a plus.
Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar).
