Compounder, Fragrance Manufacturing

About the Role
Osmo is seeking a Compounder to accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets in our sample lab. This is a craft, not just a process: precision, real understanding of raw material characteristics, and developing sensory judgment are what separate a successful sample lab compounder from someone just following steps.

What You'll Do:
Fragrance Compounding — Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets

Verify Materials & Formulas — Check materials against specifications and batch sheets before use, and flag discrepancies before they become a downstream problem

Equipment Operation & Maintenance — Operate and clean mixing tanks, scales, pumps, and other production equipment while following SOPs

Safety & Compliance — Follow all company safety protocols, including hazardous material handling and PPE

Inventory Management — Assist in monitoring raw material stock levels using Osmo's inventory system, and notify supervisors of shortages

Collaboration — Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and efficiency

Who You Are:
2-5 years of hands-on sample lab compounding experience within fragrance or flavor manufacturing

Extreme attention to detail and accuracy measuring, weighing, and blending raw materials

Able to follow written formulas and instructions precisely

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Able to work in a fast-paced production environment

Able to lift 25 lbs

Ways to Stand Out:
Understand the order of addition for certain raw materials and the reasons behind it

Ability to distinguish fragrance notes

Prior experience with inventory or production tracking systems, or material-handling equipment certification (e.g. forklift)
