Junior Accounting & Tax Associate

We are looking for a Junior Accounting & Tax Associate to join our Israel-based team.

This is an in-person role and a strong opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to develop real technical skills across tax, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and client accounting.

We do not expect you to already know how to do everything.

What we do expect is a strong foundation in accounting, a desire to learn, and someone who genuinely wants to become technically excellent over time.

What You’ll Work On:

You will receive exposure to a wide variety of accounting and tax work, including:

• Preparation of U.S. tax returns, including partnerships, corporations, individuals,nonprofits, and other entities

• Bookkeeping and general ledger accounting

• Bank and credit card reconciliations

• Journal entries and account analysis

• Monthly and year-end financial reporting

• General ledger cleanup and review

• Property and real estate accounting

• Intercompany accounting

• Consolidations

• Supporting schedules and workpapers

• Tax and accounting research.

Some of these areas may be completely new to you. That is expected.

Our team will provide training, guidance, and examples, and we are looking for someone who is interested in continuing to develop their knowledge through research, available resources, technology, and hands-on experience.

What We’re Looking For:

Formal accounting education is required.

Professional accounting experience is not required. We would seriously consider a recent graduate or someone with little or no practical experience who demonstrates strongaccounting aptitude.

You should have a solid understanding of:

• Debits and credits

• Basic journal entries

• The relationship between the balance sheet and income statement.

Familiarity with the following is helpful, but not required:

• Bank reconciliations

• Excel

• Basic U.S. tax concepts

• QuickBooks or other accounting software

Experience with our specific software is not required. You will learn the systems we use onthe job.

Schedule:

We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates, but the position requires availability five days per week. Because we serve U.S. clients, there will occasionally be meetings or calls during U.S.business hours. Evening calls will not necessarily be required every day, but candidates should have enough flexibility to accommodate them when needed.

Location:

This is primarily an in-person position in Jerusalem.

Growth:

For the right person, this role can grow significantly over time. Someone joining at a junior level could ultimately develop into a Senior Accountant, Tax Senior, Manager, or another role based on their strengths and interests. The position can also be shaped somewhat around the strengths of the right candidate. For example, someone with a particular interest or aptitude in tax, financial reporting, or clientaccounting may ultimately develop greater specialization in that area. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and capabilities.
