Associate Counsel

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and business-minded Associate Counsel to support the General Counsel with contracts, compliance, employment-related matters, risk management, and general legal guidance. This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership and exposure across the business, working closely with internal teams to provide practical legal support and help the company navigate day-to-day legal and operational matters. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including equipment purchases, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, leases, and other business contracts. Provide practical legal guidance to internal teams regarding contracts, employment matters, compliance, operational decisions, and potential legal risks. Support regulatory compliance, corporate governance, internal investigations, and development and implementation of company policies. Identify and help mitigate legal and business risks, manage contract workflows, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel as needed. Skills Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound legal judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, HR, Finance, and other departments. Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active bar admission in good standing. 2 6 years of experience in transactional, commercial, or corporate law, either in-house or at a law firm. Experience handling commercial contracts, compliance, risk management, or employment-related legal matters. Ability to work independently and make practical, business-oriented decisions without heavy oversight. Comfortable balancing legal risk with business needs and operating in a hands-on environment.
