Field Patient Setup Specialist | Brooklyn, NY · $60,000–$80,000
About the Role:
This role owns the in-home setup of a specific piece of patient equipment across Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island, traveling directly to patients rather than having them come to a clinic. The specialist demonstrates proper use, walks patients through their first experience with the device, and stays on until the patient is confident using it alone. It's a healthcare position built for someone who wants direct, hands-on patient contact over a desk job.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Visits
- Travel to patients' homes throughout Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island
- Set up equipment for patients
- Demonstrate proper use of the machine and related equipment
Patient Education & Support
- Educate patients and provide clear instructions and tutorials
- Answer patient questions and confirm understanding of equipment use
- Help patients feel comfortable and confident with new equipment
- Troubleshoot basic setup and usage questions
Administration
- Communicate with the office regarding patient visits
- Complete documentation following each visit
Qualifications
- Medical or healthcare background preferred
- EMT experience a plus
- Experience working directly with patients
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Patient, personable, and professional
- Comfortable traveling independently throughout NYC
- Must have a reliable car and valid driver's license
