BBYO Chapter Specialist, Nassau Suffolk Region (Long Island) at BBYO

BBYO is the Jewish community's largest and fastest growing pluralistic platform for reaching and inspiring Jewish teens. The Chapter Specialist works closely with chapters in the Nassau Suffolk Region to enhance their programming, engagement, and overall impact for Jewish teens. Responsibilities: • Work directly with teens in grades 8-12 to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming • Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters beyond membership and engagement goals • Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars with a consistent, sustainable programming cadence • Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room • Ensure chapter participation in region-wide initiatives such as Kickoffs, RLTI, and convention, and organization-wide initiatives including BBYO Summer Programs, ILN, and IC • Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance, engagement, and membership trends, to inform strategy • Build relationships and maintain communication with members, parents, and community partners Qualifications: • Must be at least 3 years removed from high school • Must live within or close to Long Island, NY, with the ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events • Active participation at local chapter programs is required, on average 2-4 times a month • A creative and responsible self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and working in collaboration with teens • A background in BBYO or a similar youth or Jewish organization preferred but not required • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship **Pay:** $17.00 per hour. **Schedule:** 8-12 hours per week (will vary), through June 2027, with some nights and weekends required. Must be available for Winter Convention November 20-22, Global Shabbat December 11, Kickoff 2.0 January 10, AZAA/BBGG February 28, AZA/BBG Late Night March 20, and Spring Convention May 21-22.
