Finance Team Leader

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Finance Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department and lead the internal finance team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is financially strong, highly organized, and able to manage a team, create accountability, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the finance team

Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable

Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations

Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

Prepare and review financial reports for senior leadership

Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and overall financial performance

Identify discrepancies and ensure issues are investigated and resolved

Establish and maintain strong financial controls and procedures

Improve financial workflows and systems

Manage team workloads, responsibilities, and deadlines

Train, mentor, and hold finance team members accountable

Work closely with operations and senior leadership

Coordinate with outside accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial partners as needed

Requirements

Strong accounting and finance experience

Previous experience managing or leading a finance/accounting team

Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, AP/AR, cash flow, and month-end close

Healthcare experience strongly preferred

Strong Excel skills

Experience with accounting and financial software

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
