Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Our client, a rapidly growing eCommerce organization with over 300 employees, operating across multiple online marketplaces and direct-to-consumer channels, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, and other leading platforms. and manages a diverse product portfolio and is focused on operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth, are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

The COO will oversee all company operations and departments outside of Finance, while partnering closely with the Finance team to align business strategy, operational execution, and profitability goals. This individual will drive organizational performance, develop scalable processes, and ensure cross-functional collaboration across all business units.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all operational departments.
• Lead and develop department heads across Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Technology, and other business functions.
• Partner cross-functionally with the Finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and company growth initiatives.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, scalability, productivity, and profitability.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments to ensure organizational goals are achieved.
• Drive operational excellence across all eCommerce channels, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, and other marketplaces.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify business opportunities, operational challenges, and growth strategies.
• Oversee inventory management, fulfillment operations, vendor relationships, and supply chain performance.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to align operational capabilities with customer acquisition and revenue objectives.
• Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and increase productivity.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
• Ensure organizational processes, policies, and procedures support long-term business objectives.

Requirements:

• Proven executive leadership experience as a COO, VP of Operations, General Manager, or similar senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated success leading organizations with 300+ employees.
• Strong experience within eCommerce, omnichannel retail, marketplace operations, or consumer products industries.
• Deep understanding of major online sales channels including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, and other marketplace platforms.
• Experience managing and leading multiple departments through direct reports and senior leadership teams.
• Strong operational, strategic planning, and organizational development skills.
• Solid understanding of financial metrics and business performance, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance leadership.
• Experience working with product-based businesses, including inventory, supply chain, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
• Knowledge of AI tools and technologies and their practical application within business operations.
• Strong marketing knowledge, including customer acquisition strategies, brand growth, and performance marketing concepts.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
