About the Role
The Medical Assistant is a vital role in supporting patients throughout their fertility journey. As a Medical Assistant you will assist with procedures, provide education, and support the multidisciplinary team, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care at every step of their path to parenthood.
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility in Manhattan, New York. This is a full-time, onsite position, working Monday through Friday with availability from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM and training will be at our Brooklyn clinic for 4-6 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update their information.
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Perform diagnostic tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and ready.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medication protocols, and preventive care measures.
Adhere to infection control and safety standards to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering.
Respond to patient inquiries and provide outstanding customer service.
Perform other duties and support special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
Phlebotomy certification strongly recommended.
Maintain current BLS certification.
Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
Fertility or women's health experience is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to empathize with patients
Flexibility:
Must be flexible and available to travel to other clinic locations and provide coverage on holidays and weekends as needed.
