Security Officer Part Time - Commercial Building

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
