Job description
Why we are hiring
We have grown fast, and our supply chain is still run by a founder. We are moving from one warehouse partner to three across the US, working with two manufacturers and launching new flavours. Keeping all of that in sync takes more attention than one founder can keep giving it.
You would take that work off his plate and build the processes around it. Knowing what we have, what we need to order and where it needs to go is the job.
What you will own
Inventory across three warehouse partners. You own how stock is allocated across them, so the right products are in the right places.
Production across two manufacturers — one in California, one in Texas. You own production planning, order allocation and where each order ships from.
A clear view of every SKU — stock on hand, when to reorder and how the plan changes if sales grow, stay flat or slow down.
Manufacturer and 3PL relationships — negotiating costs, checking accuracy and fixing problems when they come up.
Quality control — building a process that catches problems before customers do. There is very little in place today.
New flavour launches — roughly two per quarter, with two to three limited flavours in rotation. You plan stock and phase-outs so subscribers do not end up on a product we no longer have.
Our internal AI inventory tool. You take it over and improve it with our AI builder, so it supports the way the supply chain actually works.
Reliable inputs for the CFO — lead times, order timing and inventory needs, so cash forecasts are built on real numbers.
What this role is not
This is not a role where you keep a stock sheet updated and wait for a founder to tell you what to order. You would own the day-to-day supply chain, spot problems early and bring solutions. The founder will stay close for the first few months; the aim is for him to stop needing to manage the details.
Who we are looking for
You have run supply chain or logistics for a physical-product DTC brand at meaningful volume — high order velocity, multiple SKUs and real inventory complexity.
You have managed more than one warehouse or supplier, and can explain how you worked out what should go where.
You are precise with numbers and comfortable being the person everyone asks, “How much do we have, and when do we run out?”
You take responsibility for what happens next. You flag a problem while there is still time to fix it, bring a plan and follow it through.
You can work closely with a founder at the start, then run the function without pulling the founders into day-to-day operations.
You are based in the US. Supplements, FDA or US customs experience is a plus, not a requirement — production is already in the US.
What is hard about this
We would rather you hear it now than in month three:
You would be building the processes while running the supply chain. Quality control needs a foundation, and the inventory tool still needs work.
We are moving from one 3PL to three while keeping two manufacturers in the plan. You need a clear view across all of them.
New flavours make planning harder. Limited runs need to launch and sell through without leaving subscribers on something we can no longer supply.
The founder knows the details and will stay close at first. You will need to earn his confidence through accurate numbers and follow-through.
