About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Fractional HR Manager to oversee and strengthen the human resources function across our growing organization. This person will serve as a trusted resource to leadership and employees, ensuring that our HR practices are consistent and compliant, while also helping build the recruiting engine and compensation framework needed to support our growth.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional who can operate strategically while remaining comfortable managing day-to-day employee matters and administrative details.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters.
Develop, document and consistently apply HR policies and procedures.
Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee documentation.
Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.
Oversee PTO policies, benefits administration and coordination with payroll and outside providers.
Review and update employee handbooks, offer letters, job descriptions and other employment documents.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring.

Recruiting & Talent Strategy

Own the end-to-end recruiting process, from job posting and sourcing through interviewing, offer negotiation and hiring.
Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and build a proactive recruiting strategy, not just fill open roles as they arise.
Build employer branding and sourcing channels appropriate for a growing organization (referral programs, job boards, outreach).

Compensation & Benefits

Develop and maintain a compensation structure/framework
Oversee PTO policies, benefits administration and coordination with payroll and outside providers.
Advise leadership on compensation decisions for new hires, promotions and raises.

HR Operations & Compliance

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters.
Develop, document and consistently apply HR policies and procedures.
Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee documentation.
Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.
Review and update employee handbooks, offer letters, job descriptions and other employment documents.

Qualifications
At least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including experience advising senior leadership.
Strong knowledge of employment practices and compliance requirements.
Experience supporting small or growing organizations with limited internal HR infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience designing or managing compensation structures (salary bands, benchmarking) and building recruiting processes from the ground up.
Ability to balance strategic guidance with hands-on execution.
Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is preferred.
