A construction firm is seeking an experienced Job Estimator to analyze project costs, prepare detailed estimates, and manage bids using construction takeoff software. This role is ideal for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at balancing precision with practicality in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize construction takeoff software to prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets based on architectural drawings and specifications.
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain up-to-date pricing and bid information.
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor quotes, selecting appropriate vendors to optimize cost and maintain quality.
• Review project plans to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
• Support bid preparation, schedule management, and plan markups to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• oversee and review work for remote team of estimating specialists to ensure accurate takeoff work.

 

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency in construction takeoff software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in estimating software. Kreo preferred, planswift or bluebeam required.
• Solid understanding of the construction industry
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
