Finance Team Leader

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Finance Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department and lead the internal finance team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is financially strong, highly organized, and able to manage a team, create accountability, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the finance team
• Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and review financial reports for senior leadership
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and overall financial performance
• Identify discrepancies and ensure issues are investigated and resolved
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls and procedures
• Improve financial workflows and systems
• Manage team workloads, responsibilities, and deadlines
• Train, mentor, and hold finance team members accountable
• Work closely with operations and senior leadership
• Coordinate with outside accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial partners as needed

Requirements

• Strong accounting and finance experience
• Previous experience managing or leading a finance/accounting team
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, AP/AR, cash flow, and month-end close
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with accounting and financial software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
