Hillel Israel is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong English-writing professional to serve as Grants Manager within the Development & Partnerships Department.
The Grants Manager will play a central role in supporting Hillel Israel’s resource development efforts through grant writing, reporting, donor communications, data management, and departmental coordination. The position is focused on writing, tracking, organizing, and managing the many moving parts of institutional fundraising and development operations.
Working closely with the VP of Development & Partnerships, the Grants Manager will help ensure that the department operates efficiently, meets all reporting and submission deadlines, maintains accurate development data, and presents Hillel Israel’s work in a compelling and professional manner to donors, foundations, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Reporting
•Write, edit, and coordinate grant proposals, letters of intent, donor updates, and impact reports
•Manage the full life cycle of grants, including submissions, reporting schedules, deliverables, and follow-up
•Research prospective foundations and funding opportunities
•Coordinate the collection, organization, and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative program data across Hillel Israel centers for grant proposals, donor communications, and impact reports
•Translate complex programmatic work into clear, compelling, and accessible written content
•Ensure timely submission of all reports, applications, and supporting materials

Development Operations & Data Management
•Maintain and oversee development-related data, tracking systems, timelines, and documentation
•Manage grant calendars, reporting deadlines, income tracking, surveys, and institutional records

•Upload and manage donor and grant information within CRM and organizational systems
•Coordinate and track donations from various platforms and partners, including JGive, Hillel International, foundations, and other funding channels, in collaboration with the Finance Manager
•Oversee donor acknowledgment and follow-up processes, including thank-you communications
•Manage survey implementation and reporting processes
•Maintain organized archives of proposals, reports, donor materials, and institutional development documents

Departmental Support
•Support the ongoing needs, projects, and priorities of the Development & Partnerships Department and the VP of Development & Partnerships
•Assist in preparing presentations, fundraising materials, briefing documents, and internal reports
•Help coordinate donor visits, meetings, and departmental logistics as needed
•Work collaboratively with Hillel Israel staff across all centers to support organizational development efforts

Required Qualifications
Professional Experience & Skills
•Passion for and identification with Hillel Israel’s mission
•Proven experience in grant writing, reporting, resource development, content writing, or related fields
•Exceptional English writing and editing skills
•Strong Hebrew language proficiency, including the ability to translate and adapt content into professional English
•Outstanding organizational and project-management skills
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
•High level of comfort working with data, tracking systems, spreadsheets, and administrative processes
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Experience working with CRM and donor-management systems (preferred)
•Familiarity with AI tools for writing, research, and content development
•Deep understanding of Israeli and North American Jewish contexts and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures

Location of Work
•Hybrid position
•The Grants Manager will work from the Hillel Israel main office in Jerusalem at least once per week
•The Grants Manager will periodically visit Hillel Israel centers across the country, as determined by the supervisor
•At other times, the Grants Manager may work remotely
