Overview

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Manager ensures quality care and oversees the program's functions under Rising Ground's policies and procedures, The Department of Youth and

Community Services (DYCD), and the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulatory and accreditation requirements. The program manager is accountable for overseeing and implementing care and

resources to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and social needs of the residents and staff within the program.

The Program Manager supervises the Group Leader and the Youth Counselors. Assisting the Directors of the Social Services, Social Workers, and Case Managers in developing, implementing, tracking, reporting, and

evaluating measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the fiscal condition of the program.

• Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, resignations, and terminations.

• Develop program content to address resident needs related to ADL, Time Management, Critical Thinking, and TIL rules and regulations.

• Be accessible to the agency-provided cell phone and email.

• The Program Manager is at the helm for replying to emails texts and answering phone calls at all times.

• Corroborate with the case management team to submit timely weekly and monthly reports.

• Ensure all regulatory agencies (i.e., Health, OCFS, DYCD, Coalition for the Homeless) standards comply (related to food and emergency supplies, linen, personal belongings, client mail, laundry, personal care items, etc.).

• Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff.

• Ensure the facility complies with Rising Ground, DYCD, OCFS, and FDNY requirements.

• Submit Incident reports in PTS within 72 hours and notify the Program Director and DYCD TIL assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.

• Three (3+) years of experience with the homeless population or special needs population (Foster care, mental illness, substance abuse, HIV, etc.…).

• Three (3+) years must be in a managerial position.

• Experience in staff training and development

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position is in a 24/7 program. Additionally, evening and weekend hours may be required.
