if you are a handy person with a “maker’s” passion burning in you, this is the place. The mechanical workshop provides engineering services and on-the-spot manufacturing capabilities for the various labs on campus.
Manufacturing parts for research and teaching systems using machining processes, including milling and lathing.
Ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and non-metallic materials.
Assembly of components and systems from basic parts, including optical systems, motion systems, flow cells, and heat exchangers.
Working with students and researchers.
Additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
|
Technician/Practical Engineer certificate or a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
At least two years of experience in machining, conventional lathing, and milling.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Knowledge of CNC milling machine programming and operation – an advantage.
Fluency in Hebrew and good technical English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of service orientation.
