Paralegal – Special Education Reports & Documentation
Special education school is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to oversee educational reports, documentation, and report writing.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and oversee educational, academic, behavioral, and related-service reports
- Draft, edit, and proofread reports to ensure they are clear, professional, accurate, and consistent
- Coordinate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other school staff to obtain necessary information and documentation
- Ensure reports are completed accurately and within required deadlines
- Review documentation for internal consistency, including student information, dates, services, staff names, and educational programming
- Assist with preparing and organizing documentation for special education matters and impartial hearings
- Maintain organized student records and track outstanding reports and documentation
Qualifications:
- Paralegal or strong legal/documentation background preferred
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple reports and deadlines
- Experience with special education, educational documentation, IEPs, or impartial hearings is a strong plus
- Ability to communicate professionally with school staff and related-service providers
