Babysitter/Nanny Position Overview

A family in the Boro Park/Flatbush area of Brooklyn is seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Nanny to provide attentive care for an 8-month-old baby through June.

The primary schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. There is also an opportunity for a five-day schedule for a nanny who is comfortable caring for two babies. Under the five-day arrangement, three days would involve caring for two babies, while two days would involve caring for one baby.

Schedule Options

Part-Time Option:

• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Care for one 8-month-old baby

Five-Day Option:

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Three days caring for two babies
• Two days caring for one baby

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for the baby throughout the day.
• Handle feeding, bottles, diaper changes, and nap routines.
• Engage the baby in age-appropriate play and developmental activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Follow established feeding and sleeping schedules.
• Assist with basic baby-related cleanup and organization.
• Provide regular updates to parents regarding feeding, naps, activities, and the baby's day.
• Comfort and respond appropriately to the baby's needs.
• For the five-day position, safely and attentively manage the care of two babies on designated days.

Qualifications

• Previous infant-care or nanny experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable caring for an 8-month-old baby.
• Comfortable caring for two babies simultaneously if interested in the five-day schedule.
• Reliable, punctual, patient, and caring.
• Strong understanding of infant safety and daily routines.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow parents' instructions and established routines.
• References from previous families or childcare positions preferred.
