Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, manage, and hold Account Leads accountable through structured check-ins, training, coaching, and development.
Mentor Account Leads in financial reviews, client reporting, workflow management, and relationship management.
Develop team members into confident, independent owners of their client engagements.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and identify opportunities for professional growth.
Balance appropriate oversight with empowerment and accountability.

Accounting & AP Management

Oversee day-to-day AP operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established standards.
Review client bookkeeping and accounting activities, including AR, GL activity, and bank reconciliations.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Partner with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver appropriate accounting solutions.
Capacity & Operations

Monitor workloads across Account Leads and their teams and proactively address capacity issues.
Coach team members on effective delegation and utilization of offshore resources.
Drive adoption of technology, platforms, and standardized processes.
Ensure new-client onboarding is organized, consistent, and professional.
Foster collaboration among Account Leads, Advisors, and offshore teams.
Escalate significant issues appropriately while encouraging teams to resolve routine matters independently.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
At least 3 years of senior-level management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing AP functions and accounting teams.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency with QuickBooks or comparable accounting platforms.
Experience in an outsourced accounting, advisory, or professional services environment highly desirable.
Proven ability to mentor, delegate, and develop accounting professionals.
