Job description
Primary Purpose
Delivers advanced models and detailed documentation that ensure constructability, regulatory compliance, and project efficiency.
Leads the development and review of 3D models, piping layouts, and orthographic drawings, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry codes. Provides technical guidance, project leadership, and resolution of complex design issues. Requires expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D, piping design, construction practices, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Creates complex two-dimensional and three-dimensional models using advanced design and modeling software.
Reviews design documents for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with safety standards.
Integrates geographic data into design layouts for infrastructure projects.
Identifies design risks and recommends corrective actions to prevent delays.
Implements digital workflows to improve drafting efficiency and collaboration.
Provides technical guidance to junior drafters on software and drafting techniques.
Prepares detailed visualizations and renderings for client presentations.
Ensures sustainability considerations are incorporated into design documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
Requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
Requires 5 years of related experience.

Required: 2D/3D Modeling - Creating two-dimensional or three-dimensional drawings of objects, with 2D mainly for line drawings and 3D modeling for creating spaces and objects.
Required: Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
Required: Prototyping - Building an early sample, model, or release of a product for the purpose of testing a concept or process.
Required: Quality Management - Quality management ensures that an organization, product or service is consistent. It has four main components: quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement.
Required: Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
Required: Documentation & Records Management - Creating, distributing, using, maintaining and disposition of recorded information maintained as evidence of business activities and transactions.
