The Role
We're looking for an Associate Director, Influencer & Creator Marketing to provide hands-on strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of client accounts. This role combines deep influencer and creator expertise with team leadership, quality control, and senior client counsel - ensuring programs are strategically sharp, operationally sound, and built to deliver measurable business impact.

You'll be serving as the go-to resource for complex strategy, campaign planning, executional challenges, measurement, and executive-ready storytelling. You'll also manage a select book of enterprise-level clients, staying close enough to the work to step in when an account requires senior guidance, stabilization, or escalation support.

As part of Wpromote's Creative organization, you'll help advance an integrated approach to influencer and creator marketing - connecting organic influence, creator content, paid amplification, affiliate and commerce opportunities, experiential moments, analytics, and broader media strategy to drive full-funnel outcomes.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $92,000-$100,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

You Will Be
Providing strategic oversight and quality control across a portfolio of influencer and creator accounts, ensuring strategy, execution, measurement, and client communication meet Wpromote's standards.

Coaching and leading by example, supporting with other team members through account guidance, campaign QAs, and support navigating complex client and executional challenges.

Potential to directly manage team members, including regular performance conversations, development planning, and career pathing.

Managing a select book of enterprise-level clients directly, serving as a senior strategic partner and building trusted relationships with client stakeholders.

Leading the development of full-funnel influencer and creator strategies rooted in client business objectives, audience insights, cultural relevance, creative opportunity, platform behavior, and measurable KPIs.

Staying hands-on across the campaign lifecycle and stepping in when needed to guide or troubleshoot creator discovery and vetting, outreach, negotiation, contracting, briefing, content review, approvals, launch, optimization, and reporting.

Overseeing the onboarding of new accounts and major campaign workstreams, ensuring thoughtful staffing, clear ways of working, strong strategic foundations, and a smooth transition into ongoing management.

Interfacing directly with clients on complex or escalated needs; collecting feedback, articulating value, presenting recommendations, and strengthening account relationships.

Using creator, content, audience, media, and business-performance data to identify insights, optimize programs, forecast opportunities, and translate results into clear executive-ready stories.

Partnering with Paid Social, Performance Creative, Brand and Experiential, Client Strategy, Analytics, Paid Search, Programmatic, Affiliate, and other teams to integrate influencer and creator marketing into broader plans.

Guiding paid amplification and creator-content integration strategies, including usage rights, allowlisting/partnership ads, creative testing, and the handoff of creator assets into paid media workflows.

Supporting the operational and financial health of assigned accounts and teams, including scopes, budgets, fee considerations, forecasting, billing inputs, staffing, and utilization.

Helping evolve influencer and creator best practices, QA processes, measurement approaches, campaign workflows, documentation, and AI-enabled tools that make the practice faster, sharper, and more scalable.

Maintaining and refining knowledge-management infrastructure, including training materials, onboarding resources, templates, and process documentation.

Leading trainings and internal discussions, contributing to thought leadership, and participating in internal or public speaking opportunities.

Identifying critical client, campaign, or team issues and escalating them to leadership in a timely, solutions-oriented way.

Partnering with sales and client-growth teams on audits, decks, scopes, pitches, and expansion opportunities for prospective and existing clients.

Participating in select client meetings, productions, activations, or team gatherings; occasional travel may be required.

You Must Have
5-7 years of influencer and creator marketing experience within an agency and/or in-house environment, including hands-on ownership of complex client programs.

At least 1 year of people-management experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members while maintaining accountability and high standards.

Deep experience developing and executing influencer and creator strategies across awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, content production, and paid amplification objectives.

Experience leading enterprise-level programs across multiple brands, business lines, regions, or stakeholder groups, with a strong understanding of how to bring clarity to complex scopes.

Strong command of end-to-end campaign operations, including creator discovery and vetting, audience analysis, outreach, negotiation, contracting, usage rights, content review, FTC compliance, launch, optimization, and reporting.

Experience managing relationships with creators, talent managers, agencies, platforms, and vendors, including complex negotiations and enterprise scopes.

Strong measurement and analytical skills, including the ability to establish KPIs, interpret creator and content performance, identify meaningful insights, and connect program results to broader business objectives.

Experience with influencer marketing platforms such as CreatorIQ, GRIN, Aspire, Tagger, Fohr, or similar, plus working knowledge of web and social analytics tools.

A strong understanding of major and emerging platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit, Amazon, Twitch, X, and creator-commerce ecosystems.

Working knowledge of paid social and creator media integration, including allowlisting/partnership ads, paid usage, content testing, and performance optimization.

Excellent client-service, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and compelling stories.

Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the judgment to prioritize competing needs and make autonomous decisions in fast-moving environments.

Experience contributing to account growth, scope development, strategic audits, and/or new-business pitches.

Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, Google Slides, Asana, or similar tools.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have
Experience with creator-led commerce, affiliate programs, TikTok Shop, Amazon, or other social-commerce ecosystems.

Experience integrating influencer and creator marketing with experiential, brand creative, performance creative, retail media, lifecycle/email, SEO, or broader cross-channel planning.

Working knowledge of advanced measurement approaches such as brand lift, conversion lift, incrementality testing, matched-market testing, or media-mix analysis.

Experience with UGC production, creator content systems, and iterative creative testing for paid media.

Experience using AI-enabled research, workflow, reporting, or creative-analysis tools.

Experience leading programs in regulated industries or across multiple markets with nuanced compliance requirements.
