Job description
About the role
This role is both hands-on and managerial. You'll personally lead complex implementations for our most important customers while hiring, managing, and mentoring a growing implementation team. You'll sit at the intersection of Product, R&D, and Customer Success - turning what you learn in real deployments into roadmap influence, validated features, and measurable value from every release.
You'll also define how onboarding works at Nominal from the ground up: the processes, the success metrics, the tooling that make implementations more repeatable and scalable. The people who join at this stage don't inherit a motion - they build it, and shape what the company becomes.
What you'll do and how you’ll know it’s working
Go-live is a milestone, not the finish line. Success means customers reach value quickly, can run Nominal independently, and are already replacing the manual work they came to us to solve.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing data mapping, architectural support, integrations, and process design
Partner with Sales on late-stage deals, providing technical scoping and helping set customers up for a successful implementation
Work with customers to identify manual processes and translate them into agentic solutions within Nominal
Pilot and deploy new features before general release, ensuring they work reliably in real customer environments and deliver meaningful value
Bring what you learn in the field back to Product and R&D - surfacing customer needs, validating new capabilities, and turning implementation learnings into product improvements
Design and build the onboarding motion - playbooks, success metrics, and tooling that improve time-to-value, implementation quality, and repeatability as we scale
Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams across time zones, keeping implementations moving and ownership clear
Hire, manage, and mentor the implementation team - setting standards, distributing work, and building a team that can consistently deliver high-quality implementations at scale
Requirements
5+ years of experience in onboarding, implementation, technical project management, or solutions engineering
Proven team leadership or people management experience
Experience in a B2B SaaS startup environment
Strong process orientation - a proven track record of designing processes, defining success metrics, and iterating to improve outcomes
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder customer projects
Strong technical understanding - APIs, integrations, and data workflows
Fluency with AI tools and workflows, with the ability to use them to improve team efficiency and customer outcomes
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving environments, with the ability to work independently in a startup setting
Fluent in English
Willingness to work with US / Israel timezones.
Open to domestic and occasional international travel for customer engagements and team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm (audit, advisory, or financial systems implementation)
Familiarity with accounting processes, data structures, and financial reporting
Proficiency in SQL and Excel
Experience in fintech or financial technology
Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
Experience working with Sales in pre-sales cycles
Experience with automation technologies and AI-driven workflows
